RV owners are eligible for a wide range of premium discounts. The discounts listed below may not be offered in all states, or may be offered under different terms.
Safe Driver Discount
Shelter Insurance® customers who have been accident- and violation-free for the past three years may qualify for a discount. The discount may even be increased if no accidents or violations are reported in six years of being insured with Shelter.

Good Student Discount
Primary drivers that qualify as good students (based on class rank, grade average, or academic honors) may qualify for a discount on their overall premiums. The student must have an active license and provide proof of qualification before age 19. A good student discount can be renewed as long as the driver remains an unmarried full-time student under age 25.
This discount does not apply to travel trailers or motor homes.
Passive Restraint Discount
A discount may be applied if the insured vehicle is equipped with factory-installed air bags or automatic seat belts that meet federal safety standards.
Accident Prevention Course Discount
Your premiums may be reduced if the primary driver of a vehicle has completed an approved accident prevention course. The driver may be required to repeat the course periodically to continue receiving the discount.
Companion Policy Discount
Premiums may be discounted if one of the covered individuals on the policy is at least 48 years old and also owns a qualifying Shelter Insurance® property policy, like homeowners insurance or farmowners insurance.
Companion Life Discount
Premiums may be discounted if one of the covered individuals on the policy also owns a Shelter Insurance® life insurance policy and a property policy, like homeowners insurance or farmowners insurance.
