What to Expect When You Make an Auto Claim

Scenario 1:
You’re driving down the road and you hear a rock hit your windshield. Once you’re safely parked, you inspect the damage and find your windshield is now chipped.

Scenario 2:
You’ve just been in a car accident. Depending on how severe it is, help anyone with injuries and contact local authorities. Stay calm and take these immediate steps.

Both of these scenarios, and countless others, may lead you to make an auto insurance claim.

If you need to make a claim, call 1-800-SHELTER (1-800-743-5837) or log on to your My Shelter account to report it. You can also report it through the My Shelter app. Our claims adjusters understand this is a stressful situation and will do their best to make the process as easy as possible. They will let you know next steps and get your claim on the road to resolution.
