Our Ra11y Allies

In 2019, two Shelter employees started Ra11y, an employee resource group, in an effort to increase ability awareness and aid Shelter employees when they need assistance with an accessibility issue.

Ra11y aims to foster an inclusive environment for all employees by:

• Providing a variety of educational opportunities for employees through events such as lunch-and-learn sessions
• Increasing ability awareness through educational events and campaigns
• Giving a voice to people of various ability ranges
• Sharing information with Shelter team members who have questions about accessibility issues.

Ra11y has a leadership team and a panel of members who are referred to as “allies.” Ra11y Allies are a diverse group of employees who will share their expertise and advice with any employees.

This group advocates for inclusive solutions as Shelter introduces changes to training programs, parking, facilities, systems, websites and internal communications.
