Our Multicultural Group

In 2017, a group of employees formed Shelter’s Multicultural Group. The mission of this employee resource group is to provide a safe space for Shelter employees to learn about and explore the diverse cultures and traditions around the world – by creating awareness and tolerance and by bringing to light our similarities and differences.

What we do:

• Multicultural Group provides an avenue for asking questions in a safe and understanding environment. Guest speakers share information at in-house events.
• Multicultural Group creates events that allow employees to meet community members, sample the varied cuisine at local restaurants, and celebrate numerous traditions and holidays throughout the world with co-workers.
• Multicultural Group assists with and attends community events and helps co-workers to grow professionally and personally as they expand their horizons.
