Shelter Insurance Diversity Internship Recognized as a Top Program in U.S.

COLUMBIA, MO - September 20, 2022 - The Shelter Insurance® Diversity Internship Program was recognized as a top insurance internship opportunity by the Rising Insurance Star Executives (RISE) organization. This group provides a platform for recognizing young insurance professionals for their accomplishments and encourages networking and industry education efforts. This is the first time Shelter’s Diversity Internship earned the national recognition as one of the top fifty insurance internships in the country. Shelter’s Diversity Internship recently completed its 34th year in 2022 and several members of the summer program continued with Shelter on a part-time basis as classes resumed. The interns work in many of Shelter’s departments including Claims, Underwriting, Marketing, IT and more. The interns also meet with members of Shelter leadership team, enjoy fun team-building activities and career education opportunities.
